The Locklin Technical Center in Milton, Florida can help you become a home health care aide in only two weeks or a certified nursing assistant in just six weeks. The home health aide program can be completed on campus or from home, through correspondence sessions, depending on student preference. The certified nurse aide program must be completed on campus and it requires attendance Monday through Friday for about six hours each day.
Classroom lecture will be combined with practicing the skills and procedures necessary to provide basic patient care over the course of 165 total program hours. The school laboratory will be extensively used by students prior to starting clinical practice in health care facilities. Every nurse aide student needs to have 40 hours of hands-on clinical practice in a nursing home or assisted living facility prior to completion of the course. Upon graduation you will receive a program certificate and will be offered many job placement opportunities.
